Question:
What do Jerry Lewis and Eileen Loughnane have in common?
Answer:
They both like (liked) to sing, dance and raise money for a good cause.
Question:
What’s the difference between Jerry Lewis and Eileen Loughnane?
Answer:
Jerry Lewis used a telethon to reach people, Eileen uses social media.
A scary thought:
Young people are asking who is Jerry Lewis.
Dear Friends,
Its 1:00 a.m. in the morning just shy of 48 hours of a new year. My grandson and three of my children have left me with great Christmas memories and recharged for an exciting new year. I have resumed my sleepless nights, preoccupied with ways to make a difference in the lives of those in need. SWIM, Inc. set a goal to raise 16,000 dollars through our financial appeal this year. This goal helps to provide free water exercise for adults who struggle with mobility and enjoy the freedom of movement in the water. I am thrilled to have exceeded last year’s goal, yet I am wrestling with the fact I am $4,000 short of this year’s goal. The good news is I have 48 hours left to reach this goal. Please join me as we close this year and help us make a BIG SPLASH for all of those who find it difficult or impossible to exercise on land. Let’s end this year with the joy of knowing we have all done what we could to make a difference in someone’s life.
Question:
What in the world does this all have to do with Jerry Lewis?
Answer:
It’s all about good causes, goals and time before midnight! It’s about dreams coming true and racing to get Cinderella her shoe!
Yes, this is what has kept me up all night.
With this said, I want to thank everyone who have already made a contribution both financially and/ or with your valuable time. It does my heart good to know how many people care, how many “Dive In” to help and how blessed I am to be part of the Swim, Inc organization and part of your lives.
If you a friend or family member haven’t made your tax deductable donation yet, you can still do it before midnight tonight! Date your check for 2011 and mail it in or simply go to our web-site www.swim-inc.org and click on Donate. It’s as simple as that! Together we can continue to provide free water exercise for adults with muscular impairments.
Happy New Year to all!

Here is a sample:

A self-supporting program, Swim, Inc., has seven other chapters, all in New Jersey. The group was founded in 1975 by Doris and Russ Hollingsworth. A registered nurse, she suffered from arthritis and they built an indoor pool at their home.
When she realized that the swimming was helping her arthritis, she began inviting friends and acquaintances who also had disabilities which limited their mobility to come exercise.

Dr. Brian Wallace recently returned to his hometown of Bernardsville after graduating from Life University to practice Chiropractic healthcare at Somerset Hills Chiropractic. Growing up in an atmosphere of healthy mind, body, and spirit, Dr. Brian brings his life long experience of staying healthy and peak performance to the community. Since returning to Bernardsville he has been a part of the Rotary club as well as a volunteer for his local church’s youth group. He is also a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association which specializes in the care of young children ranging from newborns to high school.

As a Bernards High student Dr. Brian led the inaugural ice hockey program to 2 championships and continued that tradition playing hockey in college. His commitment to discipline, personal empowerment, and the wellness model of healthcare makes him a leading practitioner in “staying well” in the Somerset Hills Community.

While at chiropractic school Dr. Brian was a part of the Presidential Leadership Team which was a group involved in increasing the vision of the chiropractic profession as a student. Dr. Brian also was an assistant coach to the Life University ice hockey team for the last two years of his studies.

Water therapy is a natural therapy based on the use of water in prevention and treatment of diseases, rehabilitation, and improving ones overall well being. Water therapy is important after any type of injury because the buoyancy of the warm water permits movement and allows patients to begin therapy sooner than on land. There are many benefits associated with aquatic therapy which include:

Decreased weight-bearing load on joints

Increased flexibility and range of motion

Increased muscle strength

Decreased muscle soreness and stiffness

Improvement of balance, posture, and coordination

Increase in heart and lung function

More rapid rehabilitation

Decreased pain, both during and after exercise

Joint protection while exercising

An improved sense of physical and mental well-being

Water therapy has been shown to benefit patients suffering from debilitating pain, diabetes, arthritis, multiple sclerosis, depression, chronic fatigue syndrome, and other illnesses, which has greatly increased their overall health and well-being. I highly recommend water therapy to anyone who is suffering from debilitating pain or disease, as well as those just looking for a new way to exercise. I have seen the miraculous improvements some of my own patients have made participating in the SWIM program.

Yours in health,
